A Note on Gender-Affirming Care
We deeply respect and support the transgender community. However, Florida law mandates in-person physician visits for hormone therapy — a requirement our telehealth practice is unable to fulfill. We are therefore unable to accept transgender patients for hormone-related care at this time.

Direct Specialty Care
DSC Medicare Model
Sunshine Endocrinology operates as a Direct Specialty Care (DSC) practice. You pay a simple, transparent per-visit fee directly — no insurance claims, no surprise bills, no middlemen. We also accept Medicare which would not be subject to our DSC fees.
Comprehensive initial evaluation including full medical history review, diagnosis, and personalized treatment plan. You can still use insurance for medications, imaging, and covered labs.
30-minute follow-up for lab review, medication adjustments, treatment monitoring, and ongoing care coordination.
Medicare billing is subject too requirements set by the Federal Government, with services submitted to Medicare and subject to coverage guidelines, copays, an deuction. In this practice, Medicare patients will continue to use their insurance as usual and will not pay any of the DSC Fees.
* Insurance is not accepted for DSC patients. Traditional insurance requires in-person visits for covered health checkups, which is incompatible with our telehealth-first model.
